How did I conjure these ladies?

I have been dreaming a lot about children lately (biological clock, anyone?) and there was a child in my dream last night. He was a towheaded 4-year-old, and I was his Auntie, I think (maybe it was an older Caleb). We were in a Congregational Church--the one in my town, I think, where I was married. A choir of five or six older ladies in pink suits and nice jewelry were singing--with older lady voices--and I thought "I don't think I can sing in this choir." But they were so vivid and distinct, well-groomed, with attractively cut and styled silver hair. I realized with a jolt today, sauteeing my spinach, that I'd dreamt them. But, their voices did warble quite a lot like the voices of ladies we've all heard in our churches.

While I will not try to overquantify what my night-narratives are about, I will just say that I have recently left behind the choir of my dreams, with which I am no longer able to sing. Perhaps this dream also carried some anxiety about all other choirs being somehow lesser.

I agree, I think the choir is the next one you think you're going to be apart of...one that won't 'match up'. Give it time...God has a good reason why you've moved on.
